Only one day after opening the first Nansen Peer Clubs in B&H, the first cases of successful resolving peer conflicts were realized on 16.04. First successful peer mediation was organized in primary school "5. Oktobar ", Sanski Most. Mediators were Adna Zeljković and Lejla Krajisnik. Also, the first peer mediation has been successfully realized in primary school "Hasan Kikić", Sanski Most. Mediators were Sajra Mujčić and Elma Ramic. Nansen Peer Mediator Clubs have received more calls for support in resolving the conflict. NDC Prijedor is extremely pleased with these results where the peer mediation technique is already showing results in practice.

On 15.04.2013 Nansen Dialogue Centre (NDC) in Prijedor within the "Peace education / prevention and conflict management" program me implemented the final phase of the program, opened the Peer Mediator Clubs. These are the first Peer Mediator Clubs opened in primary schools in B & H.

In the framework of improving and developing of cross-entity co-operation the Peer Mediator Clubs are opened in primary schools "Hasan Kikić" and "5. Oktobar " in Sanski Most and in primary school" Desanka Maksimovic” from Prijedor.

NDC program "Peace education / prevention and conflict management" has been organized in mentioned primary schools in the period of 2010 / 2013. The program is based on knowledge transfer to teachers / professors, and from teachers / professors to students as final beneficiaries. Fifty (50) teachers / professors once a month organized and implemented workshop on peace education / conflict prevention issues. Around 1000 students participated in this program.

With opened Mediator Clubs in primary schools, mechanism to resolve peer conflicts is established providing possibilities for students / mediators to help their peers in conflict management & resolution.

These activities are organized within the framework of NDC Prijedor three-year project supported by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

As part of NDC Prijedor project activities “Peace education / Conflict prevention in schools” in elementary schools “Hasan Kikic” and “5.Oktobar”, Sanski Most and “Desanka Maksimovic”, Prijedor in March 2013, 11th and 12th sessions of workshops were realized. Topics covered in these series of workshops were: “What makes me moving?”, “How to make decisions?”, “How to react in conflict situations?”, “Cooperation”, “Communication”, “Affirmation”, “Life continuum” and “Anger and rage”. Group of students who participate in mentioned w/ss are the part of school group named “Little Mediators”. In these w/ss students, together with their teachers / Nansen trainers work on the skills of mediation leading to work as peer mediators in coming period.
