MY CONTRIBUTION TO PEACE - ROUND TABLE AND 2013 PEACE CALENDAR LAUNCH
Nansen Dialogue Centre Serbia (NDC Serbia) and Global Partnership for the Prevention of Armed Conflict (GPPAC) are organising a round table called "My Contribution to Peace" and the 2013 Peace Calendar Launch which will be held at Medija centar on Thursday, 20 December starting at 13:00. The the round table is organised on the occasion of launching the Peace Calendar and in order to underline the results of the activities for violence prevention in schools and for building sustainable peace in Serbia and the region.
The opening presentations will be given by Ms Biljana Lajović, Coordinator of the Violence Prevention Unit of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, Ms Tamara Lukšić Orlandić, Deputy Ombudsman for children's rights and Ms Tatjana Popović, Director of NDC Serbia.
The opening presentations will be followed by a discussion on the topic My Contribution to Peace and by the launching of 2013 Peace Calendar. Ms Maja Vitas from NDC Serbia will present the activities for promoting peace education and the regional arts competition titled "My Contribution to Peace" for students of primary and secondary schools whose works illustrate the 2013 Peace Calendar.
The arts competition "My Contribution to Peace" was supported by Global Partnership for the Prevention of Armed Conflict (GPPAC), the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia and the Ministry of Education and Sports of Montenegro.
