In order to improve the cooperation between the young politicians from different political parties and strengthen the capacities for communication and leadership, in 2000 NDC Skopje has started with the implementation of the program intended for young politicians from Macedonia. NDC Skopje has started the cooperation with the youth organizations of the political parties in Macedonia in 2000, when the first Summer School for young politicians was organized. This cooperation has continued throughout the years by organizing joint seminars and training. As a result of the successful cooperation in the program for young politicians, the “Council of young politicians” was established. The council represented a joint body consisted of members from 13 largest political parties in Macedonia. The Council was operational within NDC Skopje and later it developed to an independent non-governmental organization. The program for young politicians was completed in 2004 and was financially supported by the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom Norway and the Netherlands through Pax Christie. More than 600 young politicians went through this program.
